Today we witnessed Swan Upping for the first time and I feel extremely honoured to have been able to see this event. My little one also had the opportunity to stroke one of the cygnets, who was a couple of months old and the Swan Uppers took the time to explain what they were doing and were great with the children (and adults) observing the historic event. A day at West Wittering Beach

On Sunday 24th June we headed for a day on the beach at West Wittering in Chichester. It’s one of our favourite beaches to visit, especially as it’s a sandy beach with good car parking facilities (we paid £8.50 to park for the day, which we paid by card on arrival) and is generally a relatively straight forward journey from Berkshire, traffic dependant. ‘Spring Fever’ Open Day at Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre

On Bank Holiday Monday we took a family trip to Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre for their 'Spring Fever' Open Day which was free of charge. The Falconry Centre is based at Ladds Garden Village in Hare Hatch, Reading. The Open Day took place between 11am - 4pm and there was an opportunity to meet the owls and pose for a picture, which cost £1. A Royal Wedding

As you will most probably be aware Prince Harry will marry his bride Ms Meghan Markle this Saturday at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. We decided to have breakfast in Windsor on Wednesday morning so we could soak up a bit of the atmosphere before the big day. The Spring Garden at The Lexicon, Bracknell

During the Easter holidays we visited The Spring Garden at The Lexicon and had a wonderful 1/2 hour. The Spring Garden was a pop-up experience in Princess Square. We pre-booked our space via the Lexicon's website and just turned up 5 minutes before our allocated session. Upon arrival we were welcomed by two really helpful and friendly members of staff and then invited into the Spring Garden, the decoration and setting was magical and we were met by the Daffodil Princess. All Aboard at Pinewood (Wokingham) Miniature Railway

We visited the Pinewood Miniature Railway situated between Wokingham and Crowthorne on 15th April 2018. It’s certainly popular and we queued for about 15 minutes for a ride on one of the miniature trains. There were about 4 trains in operation so the queue kept moving all the time. Whilst waiting it was great fun just watching the trains (a mixture of electric and steam) leaving and returning to the station and it meant that my little one didn’t get bored as there was plenty to see and talk about. Binfield Easter Egg Hunt

Today we took part in the Binfield Easter Egg Hunt which is taking place until Sunday 8th April 2018 in Binfield Village. There are 33 eggs hidden around the village and you can get a map for the egg hunt from Crema Coffee Shop or Binfield Village Stores. The Easter Egg Hunt maps are £2 each and I believe it’s certainly worth getting a map as the eggs are hidden over quite a large area. The surrounding main roads can be busy.
