A visit to Holme Grange Craft Village, Wokingham

Holme Grange Craft Village based in Wokingham, Berkshire is made up of a range of independent retailers. We have visited the craft village before to go to Brickies Club. The shops are all set in converted barns and include Pottery Pals, The Sweet Cabin, Handmade Craft Company, children's wear shop This Little Piggy and Sewisfaction who alongside selling fabric run a number of creative craft classes for both children and adults. We haven’t eaten there yet but have heard great things about the craft villages cafe; The Grange Chocolate Cafe. Holme Grange Craft Village also offer a range of activities for families during school holidays, previously they have included face painting, pony rides, reptile handling and more. Snowdrops 2020 in Berkshire and the surrounding area

Snowdrops often give an early indication that spring is on it’s way and the delicate white flowers are just beautiful to see during a walk. There are a few places where you can see snowdrops in Berkshire and the surrounding area, below are a few locations: Welford Park’s Snowdrop Season, Newbury, RG20 8HU. 29th January 2019 – 1st March 2020, 11am – 4pm (closed every Monday and Tuesday). The full snowdrop walk around the Beech Woods can take a fast walker 30 minutes but can take upto an hour at a slower pace.Adults - £8, Concessions - £6, Children 4+years - £4 and children under 4 – Free. Dogs on leads welcome. Free car parking. Children must be supervised at all times. Visit the carpets of Snowdrops, Old Laundry Tearooms and / or Heated Marquee for food and there is a Gift Shop. W

Things to do in Berkshire on New Year’s Day 2020

Happy New Year! Having little ones means that we won’t be going out on New Years Eve this year, we are fine with that and happy just to have a nice meal, light the fire, play a board game or watch a film and then have an early night! It also means that we are keen to go and do something as a family on New Year’s Day, previously we have been to the Sunninghill Wheelbarrow Race which is always great fun to watch.  Below are a few things that you could do on New Year’s Day in Berkshire.
