The annual Lantern Parade takes place on Saturday 8th December 2018. The parade departs from Maidenhead Town Hall at 4.30pm and is free to attend. Wokingham’s first ever Children’s Book Festival is taking place on 20th and 21th October 2018. It will be a fabulous chance for local children to meet 23 authors and illustrators who will bring stories to life through fun, interactive workshops. Today we went for a family Sunday walk around Pope's Meadow in Binfield. Pope's Meadow is named after poet Alexander Pope (1688-1744) who lived in Pope's Manor adjacent to the site. There are designated paths around Pope's Meadow, which is a 13.7 acre parkland site in Binfield, Bracknell Forest. There is a free car park and play area next to it, with open green spaces, a couple of picnic benches and a pond.
