On Sunday 24th June we headed for a day on the beach at West Wittering in Chichester. It’s one of our favourite beaches to visit, especially as it’s a sandy beach with good car parking facilities (we paid £8.50 to park for the day, which we paid by card on arrival) and is generally a relatively straight forward journey from Berkshire, traffic dependant. Locks Ride Recreation Park is currently closed due to Covid-19 The park is between Warfield and Ascot is popular and has lots to offer, particularly on sunny days at weekends and school holidays. There is a 'beach', splash pad (open in the warmer months), climbing equipment, hammocks, swings, a slide, a trampoline and two zip wires. There is a large playing field and picnic / bbq area.
