We really enjoyed making our cress head, especially as after the initial activity, as we got to nurture the cress and watch it grow. It was great fun cutting off the cress when it was long enough and eating it in egg sandwiches. What do I need to make a cress head? A plastic pot the size of a small yoghurt pot A ball of cotton wool Some cress seeds A pen Water How do I make a cress head? Draw a face onto your plastic pot. Put some cotton wool in your plastic pot, so it’s three quarters full. Wet the cotton wool with water, you want it to be wet all the way through, but don’t want excess water. We LOVE Pancakes in our household and eat them pretty much every week, especially as a weekend treat. We generally go for a Canadian style pancake. Berries, bananas and maple syrup are normally my eldest preference of topping and I enjoy maple syrup and bacon. I have found that during the Covid-19 pandemic we ran out of white flour and maple syrup and needed to get innovative with our recipe, so created our Oatmeal Pancake Recipe. I though the texture was slightly more corse verses our white flour based recipe but they were still very tasty.
