A couple of years ago we experienced the Chinese New Year celebrations in Maidenhead which then marked the Year of the Dog. The sun shone as the Chinese Dragons danced their way down the high street after starting the procession with firecrackers, drums and dancing. Brunel's Bridge in Maidenhead was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and built in 1838. It is made up of two arches with the right arch known as the Sounding Arch because of the incredible echo that can be heard there. Where is it? The Sounding Arch is close to the Maidenhead Bridge.
