Ascot Farmers’ Market

On the last Sunday of half term we visited Ascot Farmers' Market which takes place in Car Park 3, opposite Ascot Racecourse. The Farmers' Market takes place on the third Sunday of the month between 9am - 1pm. We really enjoyed walking around the market, talking to the suppliers and tasting their food samples whilst learning a little more about the origins of the food they were selling. A family trip to Dinton Pastures Country Park

We took a family trip to Dinton Pastures Country Park during the first weekend of February half term. Despite it being cold the sky was bright blue and the sun was shining. We arrived at about 10am on the Sunday morning and parked in the overflow car park as the main car park was already full (parking charges apply). First of all we went for a walk around the lake. A Half Term Outing to Bracknell

Today we took a trip into Bracknell. The outing was planned as there were a few advertised activities taking place in and around the town and I thought it was a great opportunity to get out of the house during half term, without spending a fortune. Windsor and Eton’s Flippin’ Pancake Challenge and Changing of the Guard, Windsor

On a very wet, cold and soggy Shrove Tuesday we headed into Windsor, determined that the weather would not spoil our morning out. Once we’d parked we headed to Windsor Royal Station and watched the participants for the Windsor and Eton Flippin’ Pancake Challenge arriving and having photographs in their fancy dress. It was a little while until the Pancake Race started so we had a hot drink in a nearby café to warm ourselves up. The Nature Trail at South Hill Park in Bracknell

We recently went for a little walk around the nature trail at South Hill Park, Bracknell which comprises of wooden and metal sculptures placed around the woodland area and pond at South Hill Park. The sculptures really give you a chance to explore a woodland and see the natural eco system at work. The squirrels were certainly busy when we went for our walk.
