We recently took a visit to Runnymede, the birth place of Magna Carta and below share 10 family-friendly things to do at the Runnymede National Trust. We really enjoyed our visit and explore. To access you don’t need to be a member of the National Trust you just pay to park at the parking meter or via an app. If you are a member you get free parking. Runnymede is the home of the Magna Carta - King John signed the document here in 1215. Zog Activity Trail at Forestry England

We had a go at the Zog Activity Trail when we visited Beechenhurst in The Forest of Dean whilst we were away on holiday. However, you can also find the Zog Activity Trail at Alice Holt in Surrey and Wendover Woods on the edge of The Chiltern Hills which are the closest two trails to Berkshire. We recently went walking at Windlesham Field of Remembrance and it is a lovely location for a family morning or afternoon out. Windlesham is in Surrey and sits just over the border from Berkshire. What is at Windlesham Field of Remembrance? At Windlesham Field of Remembrance you will find large open fields surrounded by established trees plus a woodland walk, a play area and Fieldhouse Coffee which is a coffee shop and cafe.
