We took a family trip to Dinton Pastures Country Park during the first weekend of February half term. Despite it being cold the sky was bright blue and the sun was shining. We arrived at about 10am on the Sunday morning and parked in the overflow car park as the main car park was already full (parking charges apply). First of all we went for a walk around the lake. There were lots of ducks and geese to look at and plenty of muddy puddles! Our walk was lovely and it was fantastic to be outside in the fresh air, we were so lucky we decided to go in the morning as it snowed and haled that afternoon! The paths were busy with other walkers but there was still space for everyone.
After our walk around part of the lake we headed to the play area. The play park is a good size and although it seemed relatively busy there still seemed plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the equipment. The majority of the play equipment at the park was wooden and certainly gave plenty of opportunity to climb! There were tunnels, a sandpit, swings, zip wires, slides, a giant chair and more.
We didn’t try them out this time but there was a café at the main entrance and also a catering van as you headed from the car park towards to play area. I am not sure how often the catering van is on site however.
We really enjoyed our Family trip to Dinton Pastures Country Park and look forward to returning in the not too distant future.
