Victoria Park can be found next to the Kennet and Avon Canal and just near Parkway Shopping.  What is at Victoria Park? In Victoria Park you will find tennis courts, Newbury Bowling Club, the bandstand plus a Community Cafe (we visited during a weekend in January and it was closed).  There is loads of open green space plus a boating pond and large skate park.  You will also find a good sized play area in the park. Great Hollands Recreation Ground is a brilliant facility for families, with open space, woodland, a play area, splash pad, tennis courts, cafe and free parking there is lots on offer. Locks Ride Recreation Ground is between Warfield and Ascot and is a popular park for families to visit, especially in the warmer months. The play area is well maintained and it's great for picnics.
