On Sunday 6th January 2019 we had a family trip to Alice Holt Forest in Farnham, Surrey to find the Alice Holt Forest Gruffalo Sculptures. The Forest is approx 23 miles from Bracknell, 28 miles from Reading and 29 miles from Windsor. We had never been to Alice Holt Forest but I knew there were Gruffalo sculptures there and I was keen for my little one to see them as we all enjoy reading The Gruffalo and the other children's books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. A walk at Pope’s Meadow in Binfield

Today we went for a family Sunday walk around Pope's Meadow in Binfield. Pope's Meadow is named after poet Alexander Pope (1688-1744) who lived in Pope's Manor adjacent to the site. There are designated paths around Pope's Meadow, which is a 13.7 acre parkland site in Binfield, Bracknell Forest. There is a free car park and play area next to it, with open green spaces, a couple of picnic benches and a pond. We took a family trip to Dinton Pastures Country Park during the first weekend of February half term. Despite it being cold the sky was bright blue and the sun was shining.
