World Book Day 2019, What’s On Guide – Berkshire

World Book Day 2019 takes place on 7th March 2019 and there are events taking place in Berkshire on and around World Book Day. Below is a list of some of the events taking place.

Bracknell Library, Little Buddies, 5th March 2019, 10.30am – 11.30am, suitable for ages 0-5 years, Gruffalo themed story time with crafts and rhymes. £1.20 per child. Book your space Bracknell.library@bracknell-forest.gov.uk or 01344 423149. For more information click here.

Ascot Heath Library, Binfield Library, Birch Hill Library and Harmans Water Library, Thursday 7th March 2019, World Book Day fancy dress competition. Prizes for the best dress children to turn up to these libraries on World Book Day. Free and no need to book. Click here for more information.

Whitegrove Library, Thursday 7th March 2019, 6pm – 7pm, £1.20 per child. Harry Potter events, spells and general wizardry! Prizes for the best costume (dressing up optional). To book contact Whitegrove Library – 01344 424211. Click here for more information.

Wokingham Borough Libraries will be hosting a World Book Day Storytime at Wokingham WH Smiths, Friday 8th March 2019, 3.30pm – 4.15pm. Come and hear fun stories and create your own World Book Day Bookmark.

World Book Day Event at Parkway, Waterstones, Parkway Shopping, Newbury, Saturday 9th March 2019, 10am – 4pm. There will be storytelling at the Waterstones store. Entrants will receive a free child’s treat and a book courtesy of Parkway (on a first come first served basis). To book your free tickets, click here.

Basildon Park, National Trust, Reading, Saturday 9th March 2019 and Sunday 10th March 2019, 10am – 4.30pm. Take part in Basildon Park’s World Book Day activities. There is a trail where 10 hidden bookworms can be found and storytelling sessions. The event is free of charge but normal admission charges apply to enter the National Trust site.
