Where did we walk?

From the car park we entered Piglittle Field on our right and did a loop around the first field. You could extend the walk by heading into the next field in the top left hand corner of the field. In the second field there is a large pond and small woodland walk. From the second field near the woodland you can pick up signs and walk to Pope’s Meadow. From the car park, you can walk back out onto the Binfield Road (using the pavement!), head down the hill, walking away from Binfield to continue your walk at Keephatch Park Nature Reserve

There is a dedicated path around the perimeter of the first field at Piglittle Field and there are ponds within the fields plus lots of tree saplings which have been planted. The paths are flat, with a slight incline on one part of the field.

Rumour has it, on a clear day you can see views of the Chiltern Hills. The open space of Piglittle Field sits next to the A329, so you can hear the noise of traffic whilst you walk.

When walking around the first field you can see Stokes Farm on your left. Their eggs come highly recommended. During our walk we could see sheep in the field at the farm.

Is it buggy and dog friendly?

The walk is buggy friendly around the first field from the car park as there is a surfaced path, although it is a bit muddy and a boggy in winter. The walk is also dog friendly.

Are there any facilities?

There are no facilities at Piglittle Field apart from a small car park. However, you could walk to Amen Corner where there is a garage and The Coppid Beach Hotel for refreshments (when open).

Where can I park?

There is a small park with parking bays. The car park can be found at Grid Reference 51.420679, -0.807814 or What 3Words – vets.lists.firms (I currently can’t find a postcode, but once I do I will share!)

How to find the car park… when driving along Binfield Road towards Wokingham you will see the entrance to Stoke Farm on your left. The car park to Piglittle Field is on your left just after the turning to the farm.
