What is here?

The Verulamium Museum is built on the site of one of the largest Roman cities in Britain. It’s a fascinating place to visit, especially if your children are currently studying the Romans at school as it really helps to bring the history to life for them.

The museum is full of treasures and exhibits allowing you to explore what Roman life was really like. You will find large mosaics, gold coin collections and areas of the museum which show and explain different aspects of life in the Roman times. There is also a room which contains some old Roman coffins with skulls in, but you can navigate around this room if you have memebers of your group who don’t wish to see this section of the museum.
