Vansittart Recreation Ground in Windsor consists of an open field with a football pitch, play area and skate park. The play area is suitable for 3-12 year olds. There is limited free parking which was slightly tricky to find, however head to the ‘parking’ section on this blog post where you will find more details of parking suggestions.
What is in the play area at Vansittart Recreation Ground?
There were swings for both toddlers and older children, plus several climbing frames. One climbing frame was small for little ones and the others were suitable for older children including the large rope climbing frame. In the play area was a round-about, a couple of spring toys and table tennis table.

Sadly there were some swings missing off two pieces of play equipment when we visited in September 2021.
The Skate Park
The Skate Park at Vansittart Recreation Ground is large and there were plenty of ramps, ranging in size to skate on.

Where can I park?
There is parking at Vansittart Recreation Ground however it is very limited. I only approx 6 marked bays plus the access road wasn’t very clear with a cycle lane down one side and a bollard on the other.

However the address is for the recreation ground is Vansittart Road, Windsor, SL4 5DL and the What 3 Words location is https://what3words.com/claims.focal.discrepancy
Alternatively you can park at Windsor Youth and Community Centre which can be found at 65 Alma Rd, Windsor SL4 3HD. This is a pay and display car park but you get 2 hours free parking, just remember to get a ticket from the machine.
