Happy New Year!
Having little ones means that we won’t be going out on New Years Eve this year, we are fine with that and happy just to have a nice meal, light the fire, play a board game or watch a film and then have an early night! It also means that we are keen to go and do something as a family on New Year’s Day, previously we have been to the Sunninghill Wheelbarrow Race which is always great fun to watch.
Below are a few things that you could do on New Year’s Day in Berkshire. Click the links for more details:
Watch The Sunninghill Annual Wheelbarrow Race (organised by the Rotary Club of Ascot), 12 noon.
Visit The Savill Garden for a vintage carousel ride and enjoy a family friendly walk. Click here for more information.
Visit Basildon Park, follow the illuminated walk and see the Christmas decorations in the house.
Go outdoor Ice Skating – Windsor on Ice or Reading Winter on Ice.
Visit the festive lights raising money for Berkshire’s Children’s Hospice on Longhill Road, Bracknell.
Visit Windsor and Royal Borough Museum, open 12pm – 4pm
