The new Higginson Park Play Area in Marlow is now open

When did the new Higginson Park Play Area open?

The new colourful play area at Higginson Park Marlow is now open and opened on 2nd August 2023.

What is in the play area?

At the centre of the enclosed play area was is a Pirate Ship which doubles as a climbing frame and it has a ‘roller pole’ coming off the centre of the pirate ship and also a slide. There is also a cute small treasure chest at the bottom of the Pirate Ship.

In the middle of the play area you will also find a long climbing rope walk-way for older children to use.

There are a range of swings including toddler swings, swings for older children and an accessible swing chair and a large rope swing. Plus a tunnel with slide on top, a trampoline, roundabout and see-saw.

For younger children there is a lower level climbing frame with small slide. In addition there are some activity boards with different games. Throughout the park are animals – tortoise, shark and crocodile risen above ground level which the children can climb, sit on, jump off etc.

It is a fun park with lots to be explored and discovered. We went when the park was very new and busy. The photos in this post will be updated when we visit at a quiter time.

Extra information about the play area

There is a little area for buggy parking and the play area is also enclosed.

Sometimes you will find a bouncy castle and small merry-go round next to the play area. There is an additional charge to use these – it was £2 per person for the bouncy castle when we visited.

Are there toilets?

Yes, just opposite the play area are some public toilets.

Is there are cafe?

There is Resolute Cafe next to the play area in Higginson Park and also M Cafe which is located just around the corner from the play area and is based in Court Garden Leisure Complex. M Cafe do great pizzas and have a little play area indoors.
