Homemade VE Day 2020 Decoration Ideas

On Friday 8th May 2020 we will be marking the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Despite us being in lockdown due to the global pandemic, Covid-19 we will still be celebrating Victory in Europe Day and remembering all those who sacrificed their lives for us 75 years ago. We have been busy getting ready for the occasion and have crafted some Homemade VE Day 2020 Decoration Ideas. We will be marking this occasion in our household by having a Homemade Afternoon Tea which we will be sharing virtually with Grandparents. The plan is to decorate the front garden for the occasion, alongside other houses in our street. We have been busy making homemade decorations and below I have shared these ideas. Review // Roly Poly Play – Playdough and Crayons

#AD – #Gifted. Thanks Roly Poly Play for sending me a selection of your playdough and crayons to try out. I sat down with my little on Sunday morning and we got the new playdough and crayons out to play with, it was a lovely creative way to start a weekend morning. We drew pictures and made some Mother’s Day Cards with the crayons and then played with the playdough using the heart shaped cutter and rolling pin that came with the Unicorn set. I also put some of our cutters out for us to use with our creations. The chunky colourful letter crayons I received spelling the word ‘HAPPY’ were great for talking about letters and the word ‘HAPPY’ with my little one. We also loved how the crayons made thick marks, perfect for producing rainbow pictures. The Easter Egg shaped crayons were also ea

My passion is textiles and creating items with fabric and recently I have been lucky enough to build a business around it. For Mothers Day, there are so many things you can make with children and it really doesn’t need to be difficult. All Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties and special ladies in your life will love t

Homemade Salt Dough Decorations

Christmas is a lovely time of year to make something with your child to give as a gift. It doesn't need to cost a fortune after all it's the thought that counts. The memories it creates and the lessons of kindness, giving and sharing help to spread some Christmas spirit.  As a child I always loved and felt proud of giving something to someone that I had made with care and love. This is something I want to teach my little one about. It has always been a privilege to be given a homemade gift from someone, who obviously held you in high regard to put you on their homemade gift list! Our family Christmas tree is covered in homemade creations, collected and made over the years, all with their own personal story and it's so special, despite being totally uncoordinated!  This yea...
