About our visit to Adventure Play Windsor Great Park
We are so excited that we got to try the eagerly awaited Adventure Play at Windsor Great Park which opened in Summer 2023.
What an incredible giant play area surrounded by the trees in Windsor Great Park. Adventure Play is a massive and beautifully designed and well constructed play area for the whole family based next door to The Savill Garden and Obelisk Pond. There is plenty for the children (and adults) to do, from sand, water and music play to multiple slides, bridges, tunnels, nets and houses to explore.
The play area is set over multiple levels and there are lots of little houses to explore including a cafe and post office. Adults can also enjoy the play area… so you most probably will find yourself heading down a slide or walking over a giant net!
Adventure Play is designed for all with something for all ages. What I would say is that if you have younger children you will most likely want to stay with them as Adventure Play is large with lots of places for them to explore and discover. There are also staff around to help you too. Near the enterance and seating area you will find the play area on one level with little houses, water play, sand play, a zip wire (for younger children), houses, slides, tunnels and more.
Then as you head further back into the play area the play area goes up onto multiple levels with bridges, slides, tunnels, walkways and more. There are sensory elements such as flowers projected onto one of the floors and musical pads to stand on, high up in one of the play frames.
Adventure Play is surrounded by and incorporates Windsor Great Park trees and nature is a key theme throughout from conker stepping stones to nature inspired games in some of the houses plus stunning animal carvings around Adventure Play, plus there are 100+ wooden mice to spot around the play equipment and carvings of an owl, squirrel and mice to indicate the different abilities of the play equipment.
