(AD Disclaimer) We were kindly gifted tickets to do a ‘Review of Kipper’s Snowy Day at Norden Farm’. Views are honest and those of Berkshire Mummies.
A huge thank you to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts for inviting us to watch Kipper’s Snowy Day at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts. We have missed visiting this family friendly theatre in Maidenhead and it was fantastic to finally be back!
The Performance
Mick Inkpen’s Kipper’s Snowy Day at Norden Farm was a puppet show, which only involved 3 actors who cleverly brought the puppet characters Kipper, Tiger, Pig and Arnold to life during the performance.

The show was 55 minutes and had my little one giggling throughout. There was singing, music, lighting and clever minimalistic staging. Kipper’s Snowy Day is a wonderful festive story set on Christmas Eve when it was snowy outside. The story tells us of Kipper, Tiger, Pig and Arnold’s snowy adventures and whether they would be home safe and sound for Christmas Day.

I took my youngest to see the performance and it certainly created lots of laughter. The show is for children aged 3+. Although my youngest was just under 3 years the story was still followed and imagination captured. It was wonderful to take my littlest to the theatre for the first time and happy memories were certainly created. Thank you to Norden Farm for the opportunity, we can’t wait to be back.
The show is being performed at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts up until 30th December 2021.
What else can we do at Norden Farm?
If you are going to see Kipper’s Snowy Day at Norden Farm you will find a photo booth in the foyer and don’t forget you can get food and drink from the cafe bar.

You will also find a free exhibition on Mick Inkpen’s illustrations which is worth going to look at. It’s set in a large open indoor space and I thought it was a lovely opportunity to introduce a child to an art exhibition and looking at artwork – we had fun spotting all the characters. You could also see all of the Norden Farm art competition entries for Kipper’s Snowy Day too which were lovely to see.
