AD – Review // Baking Agent, Baking Kits

A team from Reading called Baking Agent got in touch to see if they could send me some of their Baking Kits to help lend a hand during the summer holidays. They kindly sent me three boxes; The Cookie Dough Baking Kit, The Vanilla Flavour Muffins Baking Kit and The Afternoon Tea Baking Kit.

It was great to have the baking kits in the cupboard as a little holiday treat and during the holidays we cooked the cookies and the vanilla muffins. My little one helped me cook both The Cookie Dough Baking Kit and The Vanilla Flavour Muffin Baking Kit.

We spent two lovely afternoons together, making memories, baking. The Cookie Dough Baking Kit was a hit with my little one as it came with a teddy bear shaped cutter as well as icing and chocolate chips for decorating. We also enjoyed baking the muffins together as my little one had fun adding the ingredients and mixing them, alongside adding the colourful sprinkles as the finishing touches to the muffins. Obviously, the highlight was getting to eat the bakes.

I enjoyed cooking the baking kits as the majority of the ingredients were already pre-measured, which helps to take away some of the mess when cooking with a little one! We only needed to add a handful of wet ingredients to the already prepared elements that came in the box. One suggestion would be to make sure you have read the instructions before deciding to bake the boxes to ensure you have the extra ingredients needed in the house.

I thought the portions were generous in both of the kits that we have tried so far and the muffins and cookies tasted great, although I might have added a little bit too much golden syrup to the cookie mixture! I am not great at cooking cookies from scratch so the cookie teddy bears turned out ten times better than they normally would.

I am looking forward to baking up the Afternoon Tea Baking Kit when we have family visiting in the autumn.

Thank you to Baking Agent for sending us the baking boxes for the summer holiday. It was so useful to have some kits in the cupboard ready to be baked up when we needed a new activity to do.

The Baking Agent boxes can currently be purchased on both Amazon and eBay.
