The Play Area at Warfield Memorial Ground is ‘hidden’ from the main road and is in the far corner of Warfield Memorial Ground which is home to Warfield Cricket Club. There is a large playing field with free car parking. The park is good for toddlers as well as older children.
What is at the Play Area?
The play equipment at Warfield Memorial Ground looks well used compared to some other parks we have visited but we had great fun playing here, there was plenty to climb, explore and slide down.
There are two climbing frames, one for older children and one for younger children. There are also toddler swings as well as swings for older children.
There is also an individual slide that goes down a hill and a slide on each climbing frame. At the play area there is a roundabout, spring four seater see-saw and a picnic bench.
What other facilities are there?
There are no facilities for the play area, on site opposite side of the playing field is the cricket pavilion. There are also two pubs across the road – The Yorkshire Rose and The Plough and Harrow.
A walk at Cabbage Hill and also Moss End Garden Village are both just short drive from this play area.
Where can I park?
There is a free car park which can be found here.
