Berkshire Mummies is a local blog which provides parents, grandparents and carers plus visitors to the region with ideas of places to go, local family events, places to eat or things to do in Berkshire covering Bracknell, Windsor, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Ascot, Reading, Thatcham and Newbury as well as the surrounding counties. Popular What’s On Guide’s are produced for school holidays and honest reviews of venues, restaurants, classes and events, which are suitable for families are shared. This online community also supports local small businesses via the Berkshire Mummies Directory, Berkshire Mummies Network and A Berkshire Mumpreneur blog post series.
Shona who writes and edits the blog is a full time stay at home mum, who also has a Marketing Career. This blog is written in the evenings, during nap times whilst her youngest sleeps and eldest is at school. Alongside her husband Steve and family we love exploring the local area, attending events and trying out family friendly restaurants. As a family we enjoy walking and discovering new walks and park whilst finding the many hidden gems Berkshire has to offer.
We hope that you find the blog a useful resource and one-stop-shop to find helpful information for your family. This concept was born because Shona would spend hours researching when to take her now eldest when they were younger. She appreciates how time poor parents can be at times, so believed this blog could be an opportunity to give a helping hand to other parents and their families.
