(AD Disclaimer; Berkshire Mummies has worked with Norden Farm in the past. Berkshire Mummies hasn’t been asked to share this event, but it is a brilliant, free community event).
Norden Farm’s Community Kite Festval in Maidenhead is an annual free event which takes place at Boyn Grove Park. This year it takes place between 12 noon and 4pm on Sunday 3rd September 2023. We went last time and had a fantastic family day out. It is also very popular, which made for a great atmosphere seeing all the kites flying in unison.
Do I need to take a kite?
We took our own kites to the festival, alternatively, you can buy a kite building kit at the festival (subject to availability). We have made these kites before and they are great and fly well. Throughout the event you take your kites and fly them on Punt Hill at Boyn Grove Park with the community, it’s a wonderful site to see.
What else is there to do at The Kite Festival?
Last year there was live music, bar, food stalls and also people walking around with to some giant birds. There is also the play area at Boyn Grove Park.
This year there will be kite flying, dancing and music, food and drink, the RSPB and kite kits, story-telling and craft area.
Where do we park?
Parking is on the roads around Boyn Grove Park. The address is Punt Hill, Boyn Grove, Courthouse Road, SL6 6JD
