What is the history behind the picnic table?

According to the sign next to the picnic table it is ‘crafted from a fir blown down in Lily Hill Park’. The picnic table was funded by the Bracknell Conservation Volunteers, Summer 2020.

Where can I find the longest picnic table in England made from a single piece of wood?

The picnic table can be found in the centre of Lily Hill Park. If from the main car park (where the noticeboard is) you walk straight ahead on the footpath, you will come to an open space on the left hand side, within that open space you will find the picnic table – it’s hard to miss! Also, click here to view the Lily Hill Park map which shows the picnic table.

What facilities are at Lily Hill Park?

The North Car Park can be found at Lily Hill Road, Bracknell, RG12 2RX.

There is also a catering van called Ziggy’s which is based in the North Car Park, I am not 100% sure of the opening times so keep an eye on their Facebook page for more information.

We really enjoy our trips to Lily Hill Park and find the park differs each season as there are lots of different flowers in bloom in the spring and summer and it’s just as stunning in autumn as the trees leaves start changing colour.
