Things to do at Home

Here are ideas of things you could do at home this February Lockdown Half Term:

Chinese New Year, 12th February 2021 – why not have a go at making a Cardboard Tube Dragon?

Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2021 – here are 8 craft and recipe ideas you might like to have a go at in the lead upto Valentine’s Day or during the half term holidays.

Paint Hearts

Shrove Tuesday, 16th February 2021 – why not try the Berkshire Mummies Oatmeal Pancake Recipe?

Oatmeal Pancakes with Raspberries and Oatmeal Pancakes

Why not do some crafts using cardboard tubes? Have a go at making an Octopus, Monster, Bear or Love Bug.

You could create a rainbow out of building blocks or salt dough? Have you tried making Rainbow Frozen Chocolate Bananas?

A homemade parachute or cress head are both great fun to make and if your children are into dinosaurs why not have a go at a paper plate dinosaur or dinosaur footprint painting.

Get Outside

Obviously, make sure you are following government guidelines but why not head out for your daily exercise. Here are some family friendly walks in Berkshire. You could also take a look at the All Trails App to find other local walks in your local area.

Why not go out stargazing in the evenings in the garden or record the weather and / or moon each day to see how they change. You could also do a bird watch. Why not have a go at making these heart bird feeders?

Geocaching can also be fun whilst out on a walk – just make sure you have hand sanitiser with you and wash your hands well when you get home.
