Great places for Ice Creams in Berkshire

Hitcham Dairy Ice Cream is set on a farm in Slough. You purchase your ice cream through a hatch and can watch some farm animals whilst you enjoy your ice cream. The ice cream is made fresh milk, free range eggs, fresh cream and natural flavourings. Click here to read about our visit.

Edwards Coffee House, Windsor has a large selection of flavours which you buy by the scoop. They now serve award winning Purbeck ice cream. The is also a selection of drinks, cakes and sandwiches to buy which also look amazing. Edwards Coffee House is based next to the River Thames right next to the Hawker Hurricane by Alexandra Gardens. They also sell food for the ducks and swans. A flat walk you may enjoy which takes you by Edwards Coffee House and The River Thames is a Walk from Bath Island to Windsor Bridge

Boulter’s Lock and Ray Mill Island, Maidenhead is a wonderful place to explore. You can see boats coming through the lock, feed the birds and explore Ray Mill Island. You can also get ice creams on Ray Mill Island at Island Piazza or from a kiosk selling ice cream next to Boulter’s Lock which is where the whip ice cream photographed below was purchased from.

Sweet Tiger can be found at 140, Crowthorne High Street. The shop sell New Forest Ice Cream, milk shakes and sweets.

Fortescues of Windsor, are based just down the road from Windsor Castle and do an amazing selection of ice cream. You can sit at their table on the cobbled road with a great view of the castle.

The Savill Garden, Windsor serves delicious ice cream.

California Country Park, Wokingham serve ice cream – would make a lovely treat after visiting the play area or paddling pool.

Lusso in Newbury serve gelato in a variety of differing flavours.

Maidenhead Dessert House can be found in the Clubhouse of Maidenhead Mini-Golf in Braywick Park have over 10 flavours of ice cream as well as waffles and other sweet treats.

Little Leapers Play Cafe and Bakery in Bracknell serve ice cream. You can find out more about them on our Directory here.

Mayas Treats, Woodley is a dessert shop which sells waffles, Ice cream sundaes, cakes and milkshakes. They are close to Woodford Park where you will also find a paddling pool.

Robyn’s Nest Cafe, Warfield sells Kelly’s Ice Cream by the scoop and have a good selection of flavours.

Great places for ice creams outside Berkshire

Runnymede Pleasure Grounds, Egham is a brilliant place for a day trip; there is a play area, riverside walks, paddling pool in the summer months and it’s good for feeding the ducks, watching the boats and having picnics. Outside Longacres Garden Centre in Bagshot is Amore Gelato which sells an incredible selection of fresh, handmade gelato.

The Little Green Boat Company – Kiosk, Lammas Recreation Ground, Staines sell New Forest Whippy Ice Cream and Soft Scoop ice cream in a range of flavours.

Langley Park Country Park, Iver serve traditional ice creams at the Tea Room next to the car park.

You can buy ice cream at Black Park in Wexham from the LakeSide cafe next to the car park, adjacent to Go Ape.
