Whilst visiting Ashridge Manor Garden Centre and The Farm Cafe for brunch we then looked around some of the independent retailers shops. One of the shops we visited was Fletcher’s Food Market. The shop was brilliant with a great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. Plus a good selection of Field Fare and Cook frozen food produce. You could buy all sorts in the shop including flour, bread, chutneys, yoghurt and much more. The shop is like a Farm Shop but with a passion for fruit and vegetables. Upon looking up the shop after our visit I learnt the Fletchers are 4th generation greengrocers. They were originally based in Peach Street, Wokingham from 1949. The service was brilliant, and we had a real laugh whilst in the store.
During our visit we purchased some delicious fresh fruit, some Field Fare All-Butter Croissant and All Butter Pain-Au-Chocolat. I liked the fact that we could select the quantity we wanted and avoid plastic wrapping on our fruit and vegetables.
We think Fletcher’s Food Market is fantastic and are so pleased we found it – we will certainly visit again soon when in the Wokingham area.
