Family Friendly Trips in Oxfordshire
Take a day trip to Henley-on-Thames – You could explore Mill Meadows, play Adventure Golf or take a River Cruise. Click here for even more ideas.
Visit The Cheese Shed in Nettlebed – this is certainly worth a visit in our opinion. It is based on the same site as the Nettlebed Creamery. The cheese toasties are incredible and are made from Highmoor and Witheridge cheese which are made on site at the Nettlebed Creamery. You can read more about our visit here.
Spend the day at *Tumblestone Hollow and Stonor Park – We have visited Tumblestone Hollow adventure playground on many occasions and have always thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is set in the grounds of Stonor Park just outside Henley on Thames. The wooden Playground is just incredible! It has high level walkways, climbing nets, look-out decks and bridges, all connected by a quirky, gnarled central house which is set in a woodland environment with stunning views of the Stonor estate. Take a trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens in Burford – There’s a fantastic array of animals here to see and play areas and gardens to explore. You can read all about our visit here.
Visit The Story Museum in Oxford – This is a lovely place to visit with the family as it celebrates stories through immersive exhibitions and galleries for children and adults. There are always plenty of activities and events for children to get involved in. You can find out more and book tickets here.
Spend some time in the River and Rowing Museum in Henley on Thames – The museum can be found in Henley on Thames, just beside the river. It showcases stories of the river, the town of Henley, the international sport of rowing, and so much more. We love visiting here. You can find out more on their website here.
Visit the Museum of Natural History in Oxford – The museum is just fantastic and FREE to visit! It is set in a stunning Victorian building which is home to seven million specimens. If you or your child is interested in history, dinosaurs, palaeontology, animals, insects, minerals, crystals and architecture you will love it here! You can read all about our visit here.
