What can you do in Ascot and Sunninghill?
As well as attending race days at Ascot Racecourse (check out their programme for family race days, as they run several in a year), you can also walk, ride your bike and scoot at Ascot Heath which is inside Ascot Racecourse. Click here to read how to access Ascot Heath for a walk, there is also a small play area there too. Just double check when race days are on as you can’t access Ascot Heath for a walk on these days.
Englemere Pond is a fun family walk to do in Ascot, a mixture of a walking around the pond and a woodland walk. There are also two nature walks to follow. Click here to read about the walk and where to park.
There are some also some good play areas in Ascot and Sunninghill including Locks Ride Recreation Ground – which includes an ice-cream/coffee hut, large sand pit and splash pad (which is put on during the summer months). Victory Fields Recreation Ground and Ascot Jubilee Playground. You can discover more play areas here.
In Sunninghill, the neighbouring village to Ascot you will find the annual Wheelbarrow Race and Cordes Hall which is home to the annual pantomime by The Quince Players and it also runs a regular cinema on some weekends, where they show family-friendly films at a very reasonable price.
