What is at the Recreation Ground?
At the recreation ground you will find a fantastic play area, where you will find a brilliant large wooden play castle which has places to hide, slide, ‘fireman’s pole’, bridges and climbing wall. In the playground you will also find a zip wire, swings, roundabout, seesaw and more – part of the play area is in a fenced section, but the castle and about half of the play equipment is in the open Recreation Ground.

At the Recreation Ground there is free parking plus a large open field. Donnington Cricket Club are based at Donnington Recreation Ground.

The recreation ground and play area were well looked after and clean when Berkshire Mummies visited (apart from the chalk writing on the wooden castle!)

Exploring a little further
If you walk from the play area across the field and up Castle Lane you will get to Donnington Castle which is also a lovely place to explore. Click here to read all about our visit to Donnington Castle.

Donnington is a cute Berkshire village. The pub and Honesty cafe come well recommended, but Berkshire Mummies haven’t tried either yet!
