On Thursday 16th August 2018 I took my little one along to the Dinosaur Trail Event which the Bracknell Forest Council Parks and Countryside Events Team had put on for the afternoon.
Everyone taking part in the Dinosaur Trail met at the picnic area at Peacocks Meadow, Jeanett’s Park, where the children collected their trail map and answer sheet and were also given three pine cones to ‘feed the dinosaurs’.
After the briefing we headed out on the trail looking for clues and dinosaur eggs hidden around the meadow. The answers to the clues revealed a word, which was the answer to the trail. The trail answer could then be exchanged for a prize. There was also then opportunity to answer a quiz on the way round which was great for the older kids. The trail lasted for up to an hour and a half, it was a great way to explore a meadow within Berkshire and get some fresh air.
Whilst we were walking around the trail there was also and dinosaur wondering Peacocks Meadow, which made my little ones day.
The trail cost £3 per child and we really enjoyed the pop up event and look forward to taking part in more of the Bracknell Forest Park and Countryside Events in the future. Keep an eye out on the Bracknell Forest Park and Countryside Events page for future family friendly events.
