A visit to Brickies Play Centre in Wokingham is a must for all Lego fans young and old! We always have so much fun when we visit. It can be found in Holme Grange Craft Village in Wokingham. You can read more about Brickies here.
What is at Brickies Play Centre?
Brickies Play Centre is packed full of Lego of all shapes and sizes. The centre offers 90 minute play sessions for children (and any adults wishing to join in the fun too!).
Each session starts with a member of staff briefing the children on their building ‘missions’. The sessions are often themed and the children are given a variety of different building challenges (although they don’t have to stick rigidly to these as all creations are welcomed!). The children then spend the rest of their time building and can ask the staff for help and guidance as they go along. The staff are always so friendly and great with the kids.
They have a Lego Play Zone for children aged 6yrs and over and a Duplo Play zone for children aged 3-5yrs (this area features the larger bricks which are safer and more suitable for this age range to play with). They also have a Duplo play pod for children aged 18months – 5yrs where younger children can play with the bigger bricks under parental supervision.
It’s a lovely way to spend some quiet time being creative and imaginative. At the end of the session the children are rewarded with one of the Brickies collectible badges to take home.
Brickies also run fantastic brick building and movie-maker birthday parties. They tailor the parties to suit the child’s favourite Lego theme and there is a little gift for the birthday child as well. You cannot bring food into the play centre but Brickies work with The Chocolate Cafe (which is just opposite Brickies) who can provide party food before or after your Brickies party.
