Garden Centres are a great place to visit with children at Christmas time. Their festive displays seem to get bigger and better every year! Children will love looking at all the festive gifts (toys!) and the decorations and lighting. Many garden centres hold family-friendly events in the lead up to Christmas so please do check the websites below for further details.

Garden Centres at Christmas
Stubbings in Maidenhead* – Have a varied Christmas and Giftware department featuring plenty of unique items from local producers. They are also holding Breakfast with Santa sessions and Festive Afternoon Teas. Visit the website for further details.
Squires Garden Centre in Wokingham* – Have a huge selection of Christmas gifts and decorations. The children will love looking at all the toys! They also hold a Magical Grotto where you can meet Santa. Please visit the website for further details.
Moss End Garden Village in Warfield – is host to a selection of local retailers covering shopping, eating and entertainment. You could also stop off for a bite to eat at Robyns Nest Cafe. Children can be kept amused at Top of the Pots (Pottery Painting), The Jungle Reptile, Feathers and Falconry Centre and ReefKeeper. They are holding a Christmas Market on 3rd December 2023 which you can find out more about on the website.
Oaktree in Warfield – have a wonderful Christmas department every year packed with Christmas gifts and decorations. The World of Water Aquatic Centre is also here where the children can view all sorts of different water-life.
Longacres in Bagshot always have a spectacular Christmas section in store. There are plenty of toys for the children to look at too. They also have a newly refurbished restaurant if you want to stop for a bite to eat. They hold Christmas events for families throughout the season and you can check the website for further information.
Henry Street Garden Centre in Arborfield – have a large selection of decorations, lights, trees etc in plenty of different colour themes. Visit the website for their festive events.
Dobbies Garden Centre can be found in Shinfield and Twyford. As well as the extensive Christmas displays, there is a soft play at Twyford and both are holding festive afternoon teas, breakfasts and a grotto. Click here to view their festive events.
Thatcham Garden Centre – have some lovely Christmas displays, a restaurant and also a children’s play area. They have Breakfast and Afternoon Tea with Santa sessions too. You can find out more here.
Hillier Garden Centre, Aldermaston – there are plenty of Christmas decorations and gift ideas to be found here. It also has a restaurant and food hall.
