Bachelor’s Acre is a small park located a little way from the tourist bustle in the centre of Windsor. It has quite a large children’s play area and a number of other things to see.
What will I find there?
There is a variety of different play equipment aimed at 3-8 year olds in the playground. You will find climbing frames, a little play house, slides, see-saws, balancing beams and swings.

The park also has a lovely water feature which has jets of water rising at different times and heights, making a lovely splash pad for the children to enjoy in the warmer weather. Unfortunately it was a little too chilly for it to be on when we visited!

Near one of the entrances you will find an obelisk, which dates back to the early 19th century and has inscriptions and a plaque marking various events that have taken place in the park.

You might also see the statue of Her Majesty The Queen which was installed in Bachelors Acre as part of the Diamond Jubilee Year celebrations. It is entitled ‘The Windsor Lady’ and shows the Queen in an informal pose seated with six dogs.

Where is it?
