AD – Review // Role Play at Little Street, Frimley. I was gifted tickets for this experience in exchange for a review.
Wow wow wow, Little Street. I was so impressed and my little one didn’t want to leave at the end of the session as we just had such a wonderful time in the world of role play. Thank you for giving us tickets in exchange for reviewing our experience.
I had wanted to go to Little Street for quite a while as I had heard and seen such good things online, so I was delighted when Little Street, Frimley invited us down for a session.
You are encouraged to pre-book a session online and each session is an hour and a half long, with four sessions running each day. I initially thought the 90 minute slot might have been too long for us but we could have stayed at the play centre for hours. Due to the pre-booking system this limits the number of families playing with the toys at anyone time. When we went I think there were about 8 families playing which was brilliant.
We explored Mini Meds Veterinary Centre, gave the dolls a makeover at Belle and Beau’s hair and beauty salon, ‘made’, sold and ‘ate’ cakes in Chicco’s Cafe, worked on a construction site with the diggers, shopped for the family at Little Savers, posted letters to all the shops on Little Street and took on the role of the emergency services which included being a emergency helicopter pilot, the police and fire brigade. There was plenty of opportunity for dressing up, role play and make believe.
There was a baby changing facility and toilet seats for toddlers and small children plus a small play area for babies as well as tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks available to purchase.
Everything was perfectly sized for little people and what an incredible way to explore different aspects of life. My little one has continued to role play more than ever since our trip to Little Street and has discovered a new found passion for dressing up. We can’t wait to return.
There are also Little Street’s in Byfleet, Maidstone, Chichester, Horsham and Sevenoaks. I was impressed with how tidy and well kept Little Street, Frimley was and the atmosphere felt calm with all the children fully engaged in play.
