AD – Gifted // Review – Children’s Afternoon Tea at Robyn’s Nest Cafe, Warfield

AD – this is a collaborative post. We were gifted the Afternoon Teas.

As many of you will know who have followed this blog for a while, I am a bit of a fan of Robyn’s Nest Cafe at Moss End Garden Village, not only does the cafe serve great food, it’s child and dog friendly plus there is a corner in the cafe with toys ready to help entertain the little ones. I was delighted when Robyn invited us down as a family for Afternoon Tea during half term, especially to check out the amazing new Children’s Afternoon Tea, themed with either unicorns or dinosaurs.

We had the unicorn afternoon tea, it was so generous in size and well presented and my eldest describes it as a ‘treat tower’, giving the experience a ‘wow’ and ’10/10′. The three plates of indulgence plus a play at the cafe were a hit! We had a table reserved for us, making us feel very special and the Afternoon Teas were brought to us after our hot drink order had been taken.

The Children’s Afternoon Tea came with the most amazing pink hot chocolate, finished with whipped cream, heart marshmallows and sprinkles! On the bottom layer of the cake stand, complete with unicorn plate and napkins was a unicorn shaped sandwich (we were given the choice of cheese, ham or jam) plus a handful of unicorn sweets. Then on the middle layer there were carrot and cucumber sticks plus a cream cheese dip and the most amazing jelly, with unicorn sprinkles and even a rainbow! On the final top layer was flapjack, brownie, sweets and a giant unicorn shortbread! The attention to detail was wonderful and you could tell real thought and joy had gone into creating such a wonderful treat.

The Adults Afternoon Tea included cheese and ham sandwiches, a scone with jam and cream and a selection of Robyn’s Nests delicious cakes – everything was just as as you would expect for an Afternoon Tea, we even managed to save a bit to take home for a little treat later on.

The Children’s Afternoon Tea is priced at £7.50 per child and an adults Afternoon Tea is £8.50 per adult. Afternoon Tea at the cafe is available 7 days a week and can be booked via direct message on Facebook or Instagram or give them a call 01344 420880. Please discuss any dietary and allergy requirements at time of booking.

Thanks Robyn for inviting us to the cafe, we certainly made some magic memories.
