We recently had a visit to Big on Bouncing Soft Play in Burnham, Slough. The soft play has recently moved into new premises in Burnham so it was all sparkling and clean. I visited with my toddler and loved the size of the soft play, not too big and not too small plus there was plenty to keep a little person very busy for the session. The staff and owners were very approachable and passionate about their business and it was great to hear that they cap the numbers of visitors in the soft play to 35-40 people at any one time, to ensure everyone can have an enjoyable and safe visit.

What is at the Soft Play?
The soft play had two soft play frame areas, a small and larger frame. The small frame was lovely and on two levels. There were gentle flashing lights throughout the soft play frame and a brilliant puzzle on the wall with farm animals, plus steps and a slide. At the bottom of this play frame was a large area with sensory panels on the wall and lots of large soft puzzles pieces with Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol characters on them. This was all enclosed in one area.

The other enclosed play area had the large play frame. Right at the top were two slides and also an area with large purple and silver balls – this was a hit with my toddler. There was also a climbing wall and two poles that you could spin on plus other equipment. I also noticed that in the soft play frame on the ‘walls’ there were some puzzles for older children to completed.

Next to the large play frame was a bouncy castle and there was also a light wall which was great fun and challenge for all ages. There were also sensory panels on the floor and wall in this area too.

The soft play front door was kept locked to keep the children safe, but as an adult you could open it at anytime. You entered by ringing the doorbell and the soft play areas and cafe tables were all cleaned down during our visit.
Is there food and drink available?
There is a cafe with seating right next to all the soft play equipment. The cafe when we visited was serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and also had sausages and bacon on offer. The soft play ask you not to bring your own food or drink.

Other facilities
There are toilets right next to the cafe and play area. They are set up for children and adult, with steps at the sinks and toilet seats on the toilets for adults and children. There is baby changing too.
You will also find a shoe holder on the wall to put your shoes.

There is also an area for buggy parking but buggies can’t go into the soft play area or cafe.
How much does it cost?
You have to pre-book a play session online, click here to view the website booking system. Each session is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Children cost £5 and adults £2. Children under 6 months with a paying sibling are free. Children under 6 months without a paying sibling are £5.
Where can we park?
There are 11 spaces available at the Soft Play Centre. We parked on the road that the soft play was on and there is also a car park with free parking for up to two hours (this information was correct at the time of posting on 6th October 2021).
