***SADLY THE CWTCH IS NOW CLOSED***
We recently had a visit to The Cwtch at Willow Marina in Wargrave and were delighted to have found this cafe, set at Willow Marina – surrounded by boats and next to the River Thames.
We visited the cafe for brunch mid-week in October and were really lucky that the sun shone and we were able to sit outside at the cafe, watching marina life.
What’s on the Menu at The Cwtch?
The cafe offered an ‘all day’ brunch menu with a full English, mini Breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Veggie Breakfast, Vegan Breakfast, Smashed Avo Soughdoughs, Frittata, Smoked Salmon Scramble, Wraps, Salads, Welsh Rarebit and more.
I had the Smashed Avo Sourdough with bacon and my husband Eggs Benedict – both dishes were amazing and my Smashed Avo Sourdough was just incredible – I will be going back for another one!
There is also a selection of hot and cold drinks on the menu plus cakes and pastries.
The cafe operates with table service and the staff are very chatty and welcoming, especially with little ones.
Is there anything for children?
We took our own books, stickers and colouring for the table, but the marina was a fun place for food as we saw a train in the distance on the opposite side of the river, lots of moored boats and a few going down the river, tractors in the marina next to the cafe and also aeroplanes in the sky.
Just a note of caution, the cafe is right next to the river, there aren’t any safety barriers but signs warning you there is deep water and for you look after your children. So this is just something to bear in mind when visiting.
Wargrave and Twyford are both near the cafe. We drove to Riverways Farm on the way home to see the animals and get a few bits from the farm shop.
There is also the fabulous Wargrave Recreation Park which you could drive to if you wanted to go for a park play.
The food and service were all fantastic at The Cwtch Cafe. We will certainly be visiting again and the cafe inside looked fabulous too.

There is parking at the cafe, we went mid-week during term time so parking was easy. However, there are only a handful of parking spaces, so it might be trickier during busy times.
