A Visit to Thames Lido in Reading

The Thames Lido is a wonderful place to visit in Reading and such a lovely place to relax and unwind for a few hours. You can read about our visit to Thames Lido in Reading here.

What Can You Do There?

There is so much you can do at Thames Lido including outdoor swimming, dining and spa treatments. We loved our visit – it’s a great place to spend time with friends in the day or evening or to enjoy for a day date with your partner whilst the children are at school.

The outdoor pool is fantastic and such a wonderful experience to be swimming out in the open air, looking up and the sky and trees. The décor surrounding the pool is beautiful and you completely forget that you’re actually in the centre of Reading! There are loungers and tables around the pool where you can sit in the warmer months.

There is also a hot tub by the pool and a sauna inside.

There are plenty of changing areas inside and outside.

You will need to bring your own poolside footwear and can hire towels and robes once you arrive if needed.

Can you Eat and Drink There?

There are lots of different food options at the lido – with the menus offering lots of different Spanish and Mediterranean options. There is a restaurant, poolside bar, and several food and drink packages. You can dine here for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. You can also book from a list of massage and nail treatments to enjoy whilst you are there and you can also purchase swim membership for the Thames Lido.

Where is it and Where do you Park?

The address is: Thames Lido, Napier Road, Reading, RG1 8FR.

There is a small car park which is managed by Park & Control using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). All Thames Lido patrons can claim 3 hours free parking (you will need to register your car registration on the pay machine at the entrance before you leave). If you stay over the 3 hours, you will need to pay £6 for a stay between 3-6 hours.
