Did you know there was a zoo in Maidenhead?! BCA Zoo is a small zoo but packed full of some amazing animals. Read on to find out more about a visit to BCA Zoo in Maidenhead.

What can be found at BCA Zoo?
BCA Zoo is located within the college campus and acts as a training facility for students but is also open to the general public to explore on set days throughout the year. It’s a fantastic little zoo with a great variety of animals to see.
When you first go in through the main entrance you will find a couple of different classrooms which may be where you can do some arts and crafts (depending on the visit you have booked) or meet some mini beasts (sometimes even hold them too!). There is also a nocturnal room in the main building).
Upon leaving through the back of this building, you will find a huge variety of animals outside including otters, meerkats, skunks, monkeys and so many more. You can get up really close to them all and it’s fascinating to watch them all. They’re all very well looked after here.
You can also find the Ectotherm House in this area – this building is home to a variety of different reptiles.
You can then leave this area and head into the farm where you can see pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas and more across the different fields. It’s a lovely open outdoor space and there are some picnic benches out here as well.
There is also a café on site (this is only open on Family Zoo Days).

How to Book Tickets
There are several different options for tickets including a variety of animal encounters and experiences, family zoo days (3hrs to explore the zoo and farm) and zoo tours. You can find out more on the website here. You must book your tickets in advance of visiting.
