What did we review?
We were kindly sent a Kelly Loves Sushi Making Kit plus two packets of kimchee, a bottle of reduce salt soy sauce and a lychee ramune drink to try. I have to say the packaging was really appealing and the quality of all the products excellent.

Making Sushi with the Kelly Loves Sushi Making Kit
We are big fans of sushi in our house so were excited to try our hand at making sushi using the Kelly Loves sushi kit. The sushi kit came with everything we needed, apart from the fresh ingredients – for our sushi we supplied the cucumber, avocado and smoked salmon for our sushi filling.

Even a bento box to serve the sushi was included in the kit plus a rolling mat. There were also instructions to follow, sushi rice, rice vinegar, sushi nori, wasabi, spicy mayonnaise and fried onions.

The kit gave us the chance to be creative with our sushi making and made us just give it a go! My eldest and I made the sushi and had great fun in the kitchen. We found it took a little time to get the hang of the sushi making, but once we got to grips with it, we managed to make lunch for the whole family and still had some of the ingredients left – we are looking forward to making some more very soon.

What else did you try?
We also got to try the Lychee Ramnue drink. It was a sweet fizzy drink which was tasty and refreshing. The bottle was fascinating and had a release mechanism we don’t have on drinks bottles in the UK. The bottle had a glass marble in it, which was fun to see and move around the bottle after the drink.

The soya sauce was also in a good sized bottle and we have used it in a number of dishes plus kimchee was tasty too.
Would we recommend the Kelly Loves products?
The Kelly Loves brand uses good quality ingredients in appealing packaging and the kits have been well thought out. They would make ideal gifts for anyone who loves sushi or would like to have a go at making sushi maybe in the school holidays. The drinks would also make a good gift as they are unique and something you don’t easily find in the UK. We have also found that the soya sauce is in a good sized bottle and also good quality so a great staple to have in the cupboard.
