On the Monday of the February Half Term 2019 my little one and I took a visit to Windsor. I had previously booked my little one in to do a Bath Bomb making workshop at Lush UK Windsor. The session lasted about 25 minutes and cost us £2.95 (price varies depending on what is made during the workshop) and my little one (with my help) made a Butterball Bath Bomb to take home. There were 7 children (plus supervising adults) taking part in the Bath Bomb making workshop we attended. A member of Lush staff led the session and everyone made the Bath Bomb mixture collectively before individually putting the mixture into the moulds we were given. I thought the session was a great hands-on activity and a nice introduction to science for my child.
After our visit to Lush UK Windsor, we then headed to Daniel of Windsor. Our first stop was to Heidi Bakery in the department store. We had not been to Heidi Bakery before but the display of cakes and pastries was too appealing not to try, so we had a Hot Chocolate, Baby Chino (in the cutest glass jar) and a Pain Aux Raisin before heading upstairs to the toy department. We love the toy department in Daniel of Windsor, there is so much choice and inspiration when it comes to the world of play. My little one particularly likes the hands-on toys dotted around the department which are available to be played with whilst visiting the store.
We finished our trip by feeding the swans, geese and ducks along the River Thames and having a look at the boats going past. Despite the wet morning we had a lovely few hours in the town.
(I was not asked or paid to write this post and paid full price for tickets and food. We just had a lovely morning in Windsor. Click here for the Berkshire Mummies disclaimer).
