Family Friendly Walks in West Berkshire
- A Walk at Aldermaston Wharf, Aldermaston
Aldermaston Wharf is a canal walk, where there is plenty to see including Aldermaston Lock and the electric lifting bridge. The walk takes you past Aldermaston Tea Rooms. This walk is dog friendly and buggy friendly.

- A walk at The Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham
The Nature Discovery Centre is a lovely place to walk, with different walking routes, plenty of birds to see, a cafe/takeaway plus two wonderful play adventure playgrounds – one for older children, the other for younger children.

- Walking at Hungerford Wharf, Hungerford
The walk at Hungerford Wharf takes you past Hungerford Lock, a swing bridge and through the grounds of St Lawrence’s Church. This canal walk picturesque with plenty to see from the wildlife, boats and bridges. The walk is dog friendly and buggy friendly.

- Snelsmore Common
Snelsmore Common has a number of walking routes, including the Easy Access Trail which is flat and suitable for buggies. During walks on the common there is a chance of seeing New Forest and Dartmoor ponies roaming free.
