Parks in Bracknell Forest

1. Mill Park at Mill Pond, Bracknell

   There are a couple of play areas at Mill Park plus a circular walk around Mill Pond. There is a large slide, metal pirate ship, climbing frames, swings and more.

2. Westmorlands Park, Warfield

   Westmorlands Park has a play area which has a wooden obstacle course, small climbing frame and slide for younger children, a set of swings (see picture), spinning bucket and wobbly animals! Then outside the play area there are a few more play items aimed at older children. There is a small astroturf area for ball games too.

3. Savernake Park, Bracknell Forest (Winkfield Parish)

   There are two wooden play areas at Savernake Park. One for younger children, the other for older. There is also green space and a pond to walk round. Plus it’s a good location to feed the ducks.

4. Jocks Lane Recreation Ground, Bracknell

   Jocks Lane Recreation Ground is a popular park in Bracknell. It has a great play area, splash pad in the warmer months, cafe, pitch and putt, miniature railway, walks, tennis courts, football pitch and more.

5. Locks Ride Recreation Ground, Winkfield

   Locks Ride is found between Ascot and Warfield. It is a fantastic and popular recreation ground. There is a large sandpit, plenty of play equipment, splash pad and catering hut serving refreshments including delicious ice creams.
   

6. Asher Recreation Ground, Cranbourne

   Asher Recreation Ground was refurbished with new play equipment in 2020. It’s a bright and colourful play area with an open field.

7. Toddler Park at South Hill Park, Bracknell

   The toddler park at South Hill Park was re-done in 2022 and is the perfect size for little ones, it’s bright and there are musical instruments, a swing, slide and games mounted on the wall.
   

8. Pope’s Meadow, Binfield

   Pope’s Meadow has a lovely play area overlooking open space. There is a nice gentle walk at Pope’s Meadow with pond where you can feed the ducks.

9. King George V Recreation Ground, Winkfield Row

   This park has a range of play equipment for both younger children and older children. There is a small climbing frame, toddler swing, roundabout, see-saw and trampoline for younger children. Then climbing frames (one which is quite complicated at the top), helter sketler slide, climbing wall, swings and more for the older children.
   

10. The Look Out Play Area, Bracknell

    The Look Out play area is set in a woodland, its a large park and is divided into three areas – an inclusive area, an area for 3-6 year olds and an area for 7+ years. It’s a brilliant play area with loads to do, including a den building area. Click here to read more about the playground. You currently need to pre-book to play at the The Look Out. 11. The Hedgehog Park, Leppington

    The Hedgehog Park has a fantastic large slide and play equipment you would expect to see at a park. You can walk to The Hedgehog Park from South Hill Park if you are looking for an additional play area to discover.

12. South Hill Road Play Area, Bracknell

    South Hill Road Play Area is set in a woodland and has a wooden climbing frame, monkey bars, tunnel, climbing wall and more. The park can be accessed from the Front Lawn at South Hill Park, near the North Lake.

13. Sandhurst Memorial Park, Sandhurst

    Sandhurst Memorial Park is split into two play areas, one for older children and the other for younger children. There is a sand pit, zip wire, large slide, green space, skateboard park and cafe.

14. Jennett’s Hill Play Area, Jennett’s Park

    You will find the Jennett’s Hill Play Area which has two play areas one suitable for 0-5 years and the other for 6-18+ years plus two multi-use games areas. 

15. Great Hollands Recreation Ground, Great Hollands

    Great Hollands Recreation Ground is a brilliant facility for families, with open space, woodland, a play area, splash pad, tennis courts, cafe and free parking there is lots on offer.

16. Foxley Fields, Binfield, Binfield

    Foxley Fields has an enclosed play area and also a play area on the open grass field. The play areas are near family friendly Foxes Den Cafe. You will find swings, a climbing frame with slide, obstacle course plus a games area.
    

17. York Road Play Area, Binfield

    York Road Play Area had new play equipment (which is all wooden) put in the park in 2021. It’s a lovely play area with swings, climbing frames, tunnels and a slide.

18. Harvest Hill Play Area, Warfield

    The play area was renovated in 2019. It has play equipment for older and younger children. Although enclosed, there are gaps in the fence so not totally enclosed.

19. Harmans Water Road Play Area and Playing Field, Bracknell

    The Harmans Water Road Play Area and Playing Field can be found not far from Harmans Water Shops. Part of the play area is enclosed and there is a basketball hoop and football field here as well.
    

20. Morgan Recreation Ground, Crowthorne

    Morgan Recreation Ground in Crowthorne can be found near the end of the High Street, not far from the fire station. Morgan Recreation Ground is a large open ground with two recently refurbished play areas with a vast range of equipment suitable for children aged from 0-teenagers. 

21. Owlsmoor Play Area, Sandhurst

    Owlsmoor play area is an enclosed play area with climbing frames, swings for older and younger children, a see-saw and more. There is also a woodland and green field to explore next to the play area.

22. Farley Wood Play Area, Bracknell

    Farley Wood Play Area can be found next to the Community Centre and tennis courts. It is fully enclosed and has a variety of play equipment which I’d say is mostly suited to younger children.
