There is the most fabulous display of Bluebells at Little Thrift Wood in Maidenhead which are just beautiful to see and they smell fantastic.

Where can I find the Little Thrift Wood Bluebells
The bluebells tend to be on display towards the end of April to mid-May. It just depends on the climate and nature at the time.
These bluebells can be slightly tricky to find, until you know where they are hiding! But it’s worth the adventure. Plus the best thing is that there is a natural fence that has been put around the bluebells – so you can enjoy looking at the bluebells but admire them from the designated paths.

Here is where to walk
Once you have parked at Ockwells Park Car Park, walk down the path next to the hedge on the right handside if you have the cafe / building behind you. Then you will walk over two bridges in a little woodland. Keep walking until you reach a field on your right hand side. Then walk diagonally across this field until you reach a large field.
In the distance you will see The Cut, you want to walk on the left handside of the large field until you get to The Cut where there is a bridge to cross over. Once you have crossed the bridge you are at the next field. You will then be able to see Little Thrift Wood, which is on the right handside. You can then discover the bluebells within this woods.
Do stick to the pathways and respect these special flowers.
How long does it take?
The walk will take about 20 – 30 minutes but will depend on how quickly you walk. The walk is dog-friendly but not really suitable for buggies as across fields.
What else can you do at the woods?
There are a couple of nature boards to read near the woodland.
Ockwells Park is also great for families and a good sized play area. Read about the play area here.
There is also Juniors Cafe which is really good for refreshments and has a small soft play, perfect for younger children. Dogs are also welcome in Juniors Cafe and there is indoor and outdoor seating.
