There are several great National Trust sites in and around Berkshire. Basildon Park is in Reading and is a lovely place to visit.

What is there to do at Basildon Park?
As well as the main house, there is the parkland, formal garden, and children’s wild play trail.
The ball runs are always very popular. Just remember to take your own tennis ball and put your name or a mark on it so it’s easy to identify!
There’s lots of space for den building too.
Basildon run lots of family themed trails and events throughout the year so do check their website before you visit so you can see what’s on.

There is a Tea Room, book shop and plant shop at Basildon Park.
