Wellington Country Park have kindly invited Berkshire Mummies along to review days out at the park on several occasions. What we absolutely love about the country park is how much there is on offer for families. Here are 10 things to do at Wellington Country Park.

10 Things to Do at Wellington Country Park
Here are just 10 things we suggest doing at Wellington Country Park. There are lots more but these are just some of our favourites.
Welly Wheels – these are automated jeeps which your child (aged 4 and over) can drive around the woodland track. You will need to pay a little extra for this experience but they’re great fun. It costs £3pp for 2 laps around the track.
Jumping Pillow – the jumping pillow is always very popular! Please note there is a height limit of 1.32m.
Play Areas – there are plenty of play areas to choose from including the pirate ship, a snakes and ladders area made up of slides and ladders on a hill, an adventure play trail and the adventure playground. You will also find plenty of play equipment for younger children in the Enchanted Forest area.
Animal Farm – There are lots of farm animals to see here and you can get up close and even feed some of them (animal feed costs £1.25 per bag at the main entrance). There are also daily interactive animal activities in this area where you can learn about (and stroke!) some of the smaller animals.
Dinosaur Trail – This is a must for all dino fans. There are over 30 dinosaurs featured and you might hear some of them too as you walk around.
Splash Zone – There are plenty of water features here and the children will love this area in the warmer months – don’t forget your swimsuits and towels!
Toddler Play Area – This has recently been refurbished and looks incredible. There are sandy areas and plenty of play equipment for younger children as well as role play areas for them to try out.
Nature Trials – There are several different nature trails you can follow around the park and the lake of various lengths.
Train Ride – The miniature railway is a popular attraction at the park and will cost you an extra £1pp per ride. It takes you on a lovely little trip through the woodland with lots to see along the way (don’t forget to shout when you go through the tunnel!).
Sand Pit – You will find a sand and water play area by the Lakeside Cafe. There are diggers here too but remember your bucket and spade to get the most out of this area.
Also don’t forget Wellington Country Park often put on special seasonal events with added extras. You can check their What’s On page to find out when these are.
