Snowdrops often give an early indication that spring is on it’s way and the delicate white flowers are just beautiful to see during a walk. There are a few places where you can see snowdrops in Berkshire and the surrounding area, below are a few locations.

Organised Snowdrop Events
Welford Park’s Snowdrop Season, Newbury, RG20 8HU.
From Wednesday 28th January 2026 to Sunday 1st March 2026 the glorious Welford Park private estate is open to the public to enjoy the swathes of snowdrops, hellebores, aconites and winter flowering shrubs. Gates open at 11am and close at 5pm daily (Wednesday – Sunday). There will be a tea tent for a warm drink and food.

Snowdrop Teas at St Botolph’s Church, Swyncombe, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 6EA.
See the snowdrops in the churchyard. Snowdrop Teas will be held on the 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd February 2026, 2pm – 4pm. Click here for more information.
Places to see Snowdrops in Berkshire
The National Trust site Ankerwycke often has snowdrops but this is a lovely walk, which is muddy in places during the winter months. On the walk you will see the Ankerwycke Yew – which is believed to be 2,500 years old and apparently also where King Henry VIII courted Anne Boleyn.
National Trust Properties Cliveden and Basildon Park both usually have some snowdrops to admire. We have seen the ones at Cliveden before and they were lovely – generally at their peak the first half of February (weather dependent).
Snowdrops can also be found at Popes Meadow in Binfield and Lily Hill Park in Bracknell.
