Beacon Lighting at Foxley Fields (VE Day 80th Anniversary), Binfield. 8th May 2025, 9am flag raised, 6.30pm military parade, garden games, live music, food and drink. 9.30pm Beacon lit. Click here for details.

80 Years of VE Day, Danesfield House Hotel, Marlow, 8th May 2025. Click here for details.
80 Years of VE Day, Wokingham Town Hall, 8th May 2025, 10.30am – 2pm. Join Wokingham Poppy Appeal, Barkham Hookers and Elusive Brewing at Market Place – there will be military vehicles, poppies. At 11am the Town Mayor will be laying a wreath at the war memorial inside the Town Hall. Click here for details.
80 Years of VE Day, Newbury, 8th May 2025, 11am Services at Newbury War Memorial, Celebratory Lunch (Booking Essential), 7pm – 10pm, Beacon Lighting at Victoria Park. Click here for details.
80 Years of VE Day, Shinfield, 8th May 2025. There will be a wreath laying and short service of thanksgiving from 8.30pm. Then a procession, led by Reading Scottish Pipe Band to the beacon, which will be lit at 9.30pm. Click here for details.
80 Years of VE Day, Riseley, 10th May 2025, 12noon – 6pm. Range of activities to celebrate VE Day. Entry is free, bring a picnic, gazebo and seating. There will be face painting, a cake competition, craft stalls, love music, tug of war, barbecue and tombola. Click here for details.
80 Years of VE Community Day, 10th May 2025, 11am – 3pm, Victoria Park. 12pm onwards, Pelican Lane – performances, military vehicles and displays. Click here for details.
Binfield British Legion 100th Anniversary at St Marks Church, 11th May 2025, 9.30am Military Parade and 10am church service. Click here for details.
VE Family Picnic and Activities, Shaw House, Newbury, 11th May 2025, 11am – 3pm. Click here for details.
VE Day 80 Flypast 2025 – There will be a flypast of aircraft over Buckingham Palace on 5th May 2025. The dispersal will occur over the West and North West of London over Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire – so do keep an eye in the sky. Click here for the map.
